This year MIEM is coming together with Michigan ASCD and their members to form a team with Technology Directors and Curriculum Directors. Through this partnership, we hope to demonstrate how they can work together to bring to the classroom the skills our children need to succeed in the 21st Century.

The strands look good to me, but might I suggest we say
Research/Practices that work
Dan
I suggest no more than 6 strands for this small conference. I suggest combining "Policy" with "Leadership." I am not sure what "Learning Opportunities Beyond Traditional" means. This could be included in "Practices/Research That Work." Sam
I agree with Sam—six strands are a good number for our conference. I like the combination of Leadership and Policy. I would also suggest changing the strand Essential Literacy Skills to Digital Age Literacy. enGuage lists the following litercies in this category: Basic, scientific, economic, technological, visual, information, multicultural and global awareness. I’d like to do a session on this for the conference—I haven’t yet filled out a form.
I agree with these thoughts. Could #6. MSBO Certification be removed and handled more as a general brochure statement about certification (why, criteria, etc) with a footnote under each session/strand detailing which MSBO certification it meets a requirement for?
I believe each of these sessions should or do meet a criteria of certification. Yes?
